Nursing / Health Services Policy and Management, M.S.N. / M.P.H.



College of Nursing  Public Health Programs (Office of Academic Affairs) 

Degree Requirements (66 or 69 hours)

The College of Nursing and the Arnold School of Public Health dual degree leads to the M.S.N./M.P.H. degrees for community/public health nursing and health administration. The program requires courses from the nursing and public health curricula for a combined total of 66 credit hours for the nonthesis option or 69 credit hours for the thesis option.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements for both the College of Nursing and the Arnold School of Public Health. The general test of the GRE is required for admission to the dual degree program.

Courses and sequence of courses required to meet the dual degree requirements are as follows:


Nursing (27 Hours)


    Research or Thesis (3 or 6 hours):


      Public Health Core (15 Hours)


        Health Services Courses (21 hours)


        Other HSPM courses can be substituted within requirements of MPH program of study with approval of the advisor and graduate director.
